Overview
This course will be an independent study course with three synchronous sessions. Participants are expected to complete six learning modules, including one project using Python in DataCamp. Participants will learn how to apply data science techniques to address security-related issues, such as anomaly detection, fraud detection, and password security. Cloud-based hands-on labs, assignments, and presentation will be required. Participants will receive a course completion certificate upon the successful completion of the course.

To register for the course, you are required to be 1) a US citizen or permanent resident, and 2) a current faculty member, instructor/adjunct, or graduate/doctoral student with an interest of teaching. Priority Registration is given to those individuals who are a faculty member in a CAE-C institution. You will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the course if you are eligible and among the first twenty registrants.
