Security Analytics Course

Overview

This course will be an independent study course with three synchronous sessions. Participants are expected to complete six learning modules, including one project using Python in DataCamp. Participants will learn how to apply data science techniques to address security-related issues, such as anomaly detection, fraud detection, and password security. Cloud-based hands-on labs, assignments, and presentation will be required. Participants will receive a course completion certificate upon the successful completion of the course.

Details

To register for the course, you are required to be 1) a US citizen or permanent resident, and 2) a current faculty member, instructor/adjunct, or graduate/doctoral student with an interest of teaching. Priority Registration is given to those individuals who are a faculty member in a CAE-C institution. To register, please click the below link and provide your name, email, employment, institution, and citizenship status. You will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the course if you are eligible and among the first twenty registrants.

Overview

This workshop will provide course material and guidance on teaching fraud detection using Python. The topics covered will include data preparation, and fraud detection using labeled and unlabeled data, and text analytics.

Details

To register for the workshop, you are required to be 1) a US citizen or permanent resident, and 2) a current faculty member, instructor/adjunct, or graduate/doctoral student with an interest of teaching.
