LT Gov.
In recognition of Computer Science Education Week and the Hour of Code, Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz visited Nathan Hale Elementary School in Meriden, CT.  Fourth and Fifth-grade students in Mrs. Burns’ technology class were busy coding Ozobot likenesses of the Lt. Governor, Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona, and Superintendent Mark Benigni to travel through a map of the capital city, making stops at the State Capitol building, Dunkin’ Donuts park, and the Connecticut Science Center, before “traveling” to Meriden. Students also completed their choice of activities from Code.org including Minecraft Hour of Code, Make it Fly with Scratch, and Infinity Play Lab. Lt. Governor Bysiewicz shared that she will be launching her Computing Challenge in January and emphasized the need for all students to develop technology skills.
