Computer Science Teacher

Greenwich Academy seeks an outstanding computer science teacher or computer science teaching fellow for its Upper School. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and accessible teacher, dedicated to helping students of all levels challenge themselves to think critically and creatively. While the ability to teach Java or JavaScript and to prepare students for an AP exam is important, of greater significance is an ability to use the teaching of computer science as a medium through which to teach algorithmic thinking and creative problem solving.

Successful candidates will be excited to work in a rigorous academic environment and will be eager to immerse themselves in the school community. A commitment to using a variety of teaching strategies is expected. Candidates should be enthusiastic learners themselves, and should be eager to teach and learn in an environment dedicated to thoughtful, ongoing diversity work. Some teaching experience is preferred, as is a master’s degree in a related field.

To apply, please complete the online application on the Careers page of the school’s website, www.greenwichacademy.org.
