From your Board:

Hello friends and welcome to some kickoff HYPE!  We wanted to start this year off strong with a special guest, Doug Casey who is the guy for understanding Connecticut's Data Privacy laws.  CS and adjacent teachers often touch upon these requirements when negotiating with our IT and ET departments and it's beneficial to all to know the facts.  Join us to have your questions answered!

I eagerly await you in our September 12th meeting!

With the adoption of General Statutes 10-234aa through 10-234dd (inclusive) schools, educators, and the organizations that interface with educational institutions in Connecticut have some very specific requirements to protect the student data.  What we (Educators and our Districts) have to do to be within compliance of this law can be complex and nuanced.  Doug Casey will join our meeting to answer your questions.

Ahead of this meeting, check out this recently added page on our site devoted to this topic.
