From your Board: Last push for our April virtual chapter meeting!

Hello everyone, it's your President, Christopher here.  I wanted to ensure we identified some of the high points of our April meeting which is this coming Monday April 4th ata 5PM.  We're excited to have Jennifer Michalek from the DoE return and also hear from the University of New Haven on what they're doing with GenCyber for teachers!.

I hope you're hanging in there.  As I said to the board at our last meeting, I feel like the aggregate damage of COVID has finally caught up with us.  We're all feeling the strain, but I must reiterate - many hands make for light work!  Let's make sure we're working together in the spirit of collaboration.  To go fast, go alone.  To go far, go with friends.

Please note our April meeting has been switched to Virtual so we can't wait to see your representations on the screen!

~Christopher

Success with our Legislative Efforts!

Please read the letter we sent to our representatives for their continual support.

A call to action!

Convince Governor Lamont to endorse the Computer Science Education Initiative.  (Letter writing)

We have the chance to encourage Governor Ned Lamont to join Governors of other States in promoting K-12 computer science education. Governor Asa Hutchinson of Arkansas is the current chair of the National Governors Association (NGA).  Through his NGA Chairmanโ€™s Initiative, K-12 Computer Science Education, Gov. Hutchinson is promoting K-12 computer science education.

In order for us to have a chance at Governor Lamont to endorse the initiative we will need to reach out to him via a letter writing (physical or electronic) campaign.

Please see the attached letter template to submit via mail or email at your convenience.
May Board Elections are coming!
